Restaurant Marketing: What's In and What's Out

My new favorite Restaurant Marketing blog by Joel Cohen posted this handy-dandy list of ins and outs for 2010. My favorite:

OUT: Hi, my name is .... and I'll be your server
IN: Good evening and thanks for joining us tonight

The whole "I'll be your server" is old, old, old and so....servile. I much prefer Joel's suggestion about thanking the guests, instead.
